Head Rush Technologies passes Regulation (EU) 2016/425 Module D factory audit

Dependability and durability are key attributes for any product you purchase, and this starts with a company’s commitment to quality throughout the development and manufacturing process. Head Rush Technologies recently passed the Module D Quality Audit which is mandated by the new Regulation (EU) 2016/425. A TÜV-SÜD representative spent 3 days in the Head Rush Technologies facility reviewing the development, supply chain, quality assurance, testing, shipping, and management commitment towards quality.

“We are proud of this new certification for the company, not just the products. This demonstrates to our customers our commitment towards continuous improvement under very strict quality standards which are assessed by a world recognized independent 3rd party.” said Rich Reynolds, Vice President of Engineering.

Regulation (EU) 2016/425 compliance is mandatory for all Category III Safety Products, which applies to any Auto Belay on the market and other HRT products. Any company that sells a product with a CE number must have been in compliance by April 21, 2019. Module D certification was completed after we achieved our new device CE Certificates in advance of the deadline.

The Head Rush team spent several months preparing for the Module D audit by TÜV-SÜD. “The processes at Head Rush have been very well established to ensure the safety of our products for our clients, preparing for the audit gave us even deeper insights on how to reliably produce the most dependable products possible. It was a great experience working with the independent auditor - showing them the inner workings of our company, and seeing their approval of our processes in issuing the certificate.”

Module D Certification is the latest proof of Head Rush Technologies’ commitment to be “The Most Tested, Most Trusted, Most Tru” adventure product manufacturer in the industry.
